I have just got back from my holiday, so now its back to work, and back to my Ro studies!
A Ro friend told me that I speak Romanian '.... mai bine ca un manelist' I think that means better than a manelist. So, I guess thats a compliment to me! (But a slur against people who like manele)
I have heard a little manele music, its... er kind of interesting I guess although not what I would normally listen to!
Talking of music, I find listening to songs sung in Romanian very helpful to hear how some of the words are pronounced. Most of the time I can't keep up with spoken romanian - much too fast for me to understand.
