I thought it was Helsinki
Brasov and Sibiu are also nice cities to visit, old ones.
ps: and, oh, yeah: your friends will rip you apart if you visit Romania and skip the Bran castle

dare i say 'Bran castle' ???
nice place is the citty where i born and grow up in Brasov ;) near there is a few nice mountains where u can visit places that makes ro so unique :)
Danube is nice ( too bad is raining)
... and of course Black Sea :(
If you had to pick only 3 places in Romania to see... which 3 places would you suggest?
The monasteries in Moldavia, the Apuseni mountains with their caves and Sibiu. The city is the European Cultural Capital of 2007 and has a brand new face. Add to that its inherent charm as it's one of the most beautiful cities in Romania. I am seriously considering getting there this year :D
Is Moldavia the same as Moldova?
In Romanian, yes :flowers:
Though the term refers to both a region about a third of Romania, and to the Republic Moldova.
I don't know whether there is difference of nuance in English.
I know that the Germans call the region "Moldau" and the republic "Moldawien".

No, seriously, I spent two days travelling through the city on foot, and I can say that I have seen naught of what it has to offer :cry:daemon a scris:If your trip is for the ARTMania festival, can I just add you to my backpack? No, seriously, I spent two days travelling through the city on foot, and I can say that I have seen naught of what it has to offer :)
Dare I ask what you did do for two days there?
Ideally, if I ever get to visit Romania it would be cool to travel and see lots of different places. I'd do it by car if it wasn't for the fact you drive on the wrong side of the road :( But Im sure I couold get used to that!
we actually drive on the right side...
