Asfaloth a scris:people's name as tattoos are plain silly. getting someone out of your life is hard enough, why make it double trouble by getting them under your skin... literally![]()
i was thinking of getting a tattoo at one point. i am too chicken, though. it all depends on the tattoo and on where you have it, i guess. i wouldn't go for lover's names, football teams, electoral slogans or whatever. and getting them where you're likely to get all wrinkly is not an option either.
By the time you' re 70, you're likely to get "all wrinkly" all over the place :flowers:
I actually think it makes more sense (if any) to have a tattoo with a team that you love. It is likely that the team will outlive you, and it's fairly common for older folks to have lifelong passions centered on a sports team. Jack Nicholson, for example, is a lifelong Los Angeles Lakers fan. It's known that he has actually turned down movies because they couldn't shoot them around the Lakers' schedule and he would've had to miss home games. It wouldn't be then a huge surprise to find out that he's got a Lakers tattoo, nor would it be perceived as something weird/silly (not more than his passion for the team, anyway).

...i've been dreaming about it since childhood
