PROJECT

 

- The game we are working on is a car racing game with a heavy accent on simulation.

- It is made for a company from San Francisco, USA.

- The client is not a game development house, but rather focuses on this game only.

- The game is not a shelf game, but an online one. PC only, on Windows.

- At the moment the game is in Beta and available to the public, but this doesn't mean it is near to completion - there are a lot of features to be added or improved, and being an online game, it will be continuously built upon.

- The code is written in C++ (currently used in Visual Studio 2005), using its own rendering engine, based on DirecX 9

- The UI interface is written in Flash (interfaced with the game through a framework called Scaleform GFx)

- The art, product, customer service and management teams are mainly in the US.

- The fact that we are the main engineering force behind the project gives us a lot of freedom when it comes to writing the code, and it also means that we need to be able to work in all areas of the existing code

Founded in 2005, Gemini Solutions has grown from three engineers to 60 development and quality assurance engineers with significant experience in United States, Western Europe, and Israeli based companies.

 

Gemini Solutions evolved as a partnership between Theodor Nissim, a Silicon Valley executive, and his Romanian technical team. The initial connections were cemented by successfully opening and operating Romanian development centers for two venture backed Silicon Valley start-ups. The success of these centers naturally evolved into helping other start-ups move forward.
