Țestoasele de apă mai pot fi întâlnite, în special în zona Ciric, atât specia autohtonă, Emys orbicularis, cât și specia exotică introdusă, Trachemys scripta – țestoasa de Florida. Un sarpe care nu este reptila locala s-a instalat in Florida sa cloceasca 23 de oua pe langa ca avea deja si 18 micuti langa intr-o zona unde parea a fi nedorit. Ofiterul este un cunoscator de reptile cum se vede, cu mana goala l-a luat de gat periculosul mama sarpe si-l va reloca intr-o cusca undeva pentru studierea lor sau doar pentru admirarea creatiilor naturii. The toddler, who is from the village of Kantar, near Bingol, Turkey, was bitten on August 10. According to media reports, her neighbors heard her screaming as the snake attacked her in her backyard. When they reached her, they found her with a bite mark on her lip, and a 20-inch snake between her teeth. The snake later died from the toddler's revenge bite, while the 2-year-old was taken to Bingol Maternity and Children's Hospital to treat her injuries.
