Metro Cash & Carry, the largest player in Romanian food retail, posted sales worth over 800 million euros on the local market in the first half of the year, according to ZF estimates, based on the 6 billion-euro turnover reported by the company in Eastern Europe, and on the 13% contribution of the Romanian market to this figure.
