BUCHAREST / 20:00, 16.09.2008 Romaniaa€™s Senate on Tuesday adopted 86 to 37 a simple motion on agriculture submitted by leftist Social Democratic Party, or PSD.

The social democrats asked for diesel subsidies for farmers of 700 lei (EUR1-RON3.6494) per hectare.In addition, the Romanian agriculture is to receive at least 4% of the country’s gross domestic product in 2009.A
