BUCHAREST / 16:45, 12.08.2008 Romanian Mihai Covaliu Tuesday won bronze at the sabre fencing competition within the Beijing Olympics.

This is Romaniaa€™s second medal at the Beijing Olympics after judoka Alina Dumitru won gold in the 48 kg category on Saturday. Covaliu defeated French Julien Pillet in the small final, 15-11, but missed the qualification in the big final after he was defeated by French Nicolas Lopez, 13-15, in the semifinals.
