07.2008 Romanian President Traian Basescu will leave for Paris, France on Sunday to attend the Mediterranean Union summit, as well as the festivities on Francea€™s Day on July 14, the presidency said in a statement Saturday.The summit’s main objective is to officially launch an EU initiative called "Barcelona Process: a Mediterranean Union", meant to revive efforts to turn the Mediterranean into an "area of peace, democracy and prosperity," the statement noted....
