Description XviD

XviD is an open-source MPEG4 codec, which comes from the same open-source project that was the basis for DivX 4.x/5.x. XviD is not a DivX codec or a DivX player, nor stand-alone XviD player, but makes it possible to view XviDs with some other media player by choice. It's no product, it's an open source project which is developed and maintained by lots of people from all over the world.
