Description Verichat for Palm OS
Like Trillian for your Palm, Verichat lets you IM with your AOL, MSN, Yahoo, and ICQ buddies. If you're familiar with PC-based chat clients, you won't have a problem operating this application, which looks and acts very similar. You'll find all of the expected IM features, such as the ability to attach files, emoticons, and set your status. In addition, you also can compose and send e-mails directly to your friends at their Yahoo, Hotmail, or AOL accounts. We really like the inclusion of bots, which quickly return information such as driving directions, world times, flight statuses, traffic reports, and movie showtimes. However, downloading the program is kind of a pain, requiring you to surrender your e-mail, then click a separate link to obtain Verichat. Also, although we know the utility is not free, we're not sure how long you get to test it for, thanks to a lack of readily accessible information on the publisher's site. Still, if you're also on the go and need a constant connection to multiple chat clients, you're likely to find this program's positives far outweigh its few shortcomings.
