If your computer is systematically confronted with spyware, you should use HijackThis. The program examines vulnerable or suspect parts of the system, such as registry keys, looking for spyware. It lists the content of key areas of the registry and hard drive areas used by legitimate programmes and by hijackers as well. Latest updates bring a series of powerfull tools to the Config window to help eliminate aggresive infections: Process Manager, Hosts file editor, ADS Spy Tool. Latest versions have not removed the programme's installation into whatever directory in which the file is unzipped, which can make it hard for you to locate it. Unfortunately, HijackThis can show false positive results and if you are not sure about what you are doing, you should ask for a professional opinion before deleting anything you find suspicious.
