Paint.NET is a freeware image and photo editor. It has all you need for a quick retouch, including tools for crop, rotate, resize, adjusting color, creating collages, red eye removal etc. It supports the usual file formats such as JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIF etc, but not high resolution RAW files. It also supports layers, history and has an actions manager. The interface is ingenious, attractive and easy to use, with its semitransparent windows and its support for layers, unlimited undo, special effects and various useful and effective tools. It works much better than Microsoft Paint and, although it's a freeware and it's not as pretentious as Photoshop is, it's a great option for users who need to quickly fix their images.
