Description Audacity

Audacity is an editor that can play and record sounds, import and export WAV, AIFF, MP3 and OGG files, edit sounds with cut, copy, paste features, mix tracks, apply effects to the recordings etc. The program has a built-in amplitude-envelope editor, a customizable spectrogram mode, a frequency-analysis window. It has a well organized interface, good features and support for 32-bit floating-point audio. Though it's rich in features and options, the toolbar and the work space are clean and uncluttered, using a drop-down menu to group functions. It supports usual formats such as WAv or MP3, has a lot of basic effects such as reverb, delay, compression and includes a Beat Analyzer.
