The Silence of the Lambs is an 1991 thriller based on the novel of the same name written by Thomas Harris. The story revolves around young Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster), an FBI agent assigned to solve a disturbing case. A psychopathic serial killer who skins his victims has kidnapped a woman and Clarice has to help find the missing woman.

In order to better understand the twisted mind of the killer, she decides to ask for Dr. Hannibal Lecter's help. Lecter (Anthony Hopkins) is an imprisoned psychopath, serial killer and cannibal who used to be a renowned psychiatrist. Thinking Lecter has the answers to their questions, Clarice seeks his advice.

But as he is a very powerful and clever manipulator, Clarice has to gain his confidence before he gives her the answers she needs. Lecter starts a mind game with Clarice, offering pieces of information about the killer in exchange for her childhood memories and events.
