The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is a thriller film based on the Sweedish novel of the same name written by Stieg Larsson. It stars Daniel Craig as Mikael Blomkvist, a journalist who searches for for a woman. Harriet Vanger has been missing for forty years and Blomkvist is hired by her uncle to find her.

In his search he is aided by Lisbeth Salander (Rooney Mara), an introvert girl,  passionate about computers. Lisbeth is able to get any sort of information by accessing internet networks. They both find out that Harriet's disappearence is linked to a murder which took place 40 years ago.
