Pina is a German 3D film that presents some of the most famous dance pieces by Pina Bausch. Pina is well known for her influence in the Tanztheater and the film brings out her work. She rarely appears in the film, as she died before the film was launched.

The four dance pieces are Le sacre du printemps (The rite of spring), Cafe Mueller, Kontakthof and Vollmond. The first piece shows the dancers moving on the stage, which is covered by a thick layer of peat. The next piece presents the place where Pina used to stay as she was a child. The third piece, Kontakthof describes a situation in dance school at the beginning of the 20th Century. The fourth piece, Vollmond, presents a flooded scene, with only one large rock and a few chairs.
