Details
Miracle on 34th Street is a Christmas film directed by George Seaton and starring Maureen O'Hara, John Payne, Natalie Wood and Edmund Gwenn. The action is set in New York at the Macy's Department Store Thanksgiving Day parade.
The actor hired by the store to play Santa Claus proves to be quit a sensation and he's quickly recruited to be the store's Santa at the main outlet. The special events director of the store, Doris Walker, learns that the old man calls himself Kris Kingle and he tells everyone that he really is Santa Claus.
Even though the old man's doctor reassures everybody that he is harmless, people start to notice that there really is something special about him.
