L'Auberge Espagnole is a French  comedy romance film about a French student who goes to study in Barcelona for a year with an Erasmus scholarship. Xavier (Romain Duris) is a 24 year old student who leaves France for an Erasmus programme in Spain.

In Barcelona, Xavier finds an apartment and moves in with other people from all around Europe. They become good friends and start having the adventure of their lives, engaging in some twisted love affairs.
