La Dolce Vita is an Italian comedy-drama film directed by Federico Fellini. The story follows a journalist's adventure in Rome and his quest for love and happiness. Marcello Rubini (Marcello Mastroianni) is a journalist who lives in Rome, struggling to become a serious writer.

He tries to find a way to fit into Rome's elite and into his girlfriend's way of living, at the same time attempting to find his place in the world. The film is considered one of the best films of the world cinema.
