Journey 2: The Mysterious Island is a 3D action-adventure film starring Dwayne Johnson, Michael Caine and Vanessa Hudgens. Sean Anderson (Josh Hutcherson) is caught by the police while trying to access a strange signal in a satellite research center.

The signal contains some undistinguishable words  but his stepfather, Hank Parsons, manages to decode them. Apparently, the signal comes from the Mysterious Island and Sean thinks that his long lost grandfather sent the signal hoping he will be found.
