I Don't Know How She Does It is an American comedy based on the novel written by Allison Pearson. Kate Reddy (Sarah Jessica Parker) is a financial executive at a management company in Boston and mother of two children.

She is married to Richard (Greg Kinnear), an architect who has been fired and is no longer able to provide a generous living to his family, as he did before. She struggles to keep her family together and to maintain a balance between her work and her children, at the advice of her close friend Allison. The happily married couple's world is turned upside down when Kate's boss makes her stay until late at work and sends her increasingly more often to New York on business trips.

When Richard finally gets his dream job, Kate spends most of her time traveling. But the situation gets worse when she meets Jack Abelhammer (Pierce Brosnan), her new charming associate who flirts with her constantly.
