Details

Drive is an American action drama film adapted from the novel of the same name written by James Sallis in 2005. The film tells the story of a Hollywood stunt performer (Ryan Gosling) who has a second job as a wheelman.

He discovers that a contract has been put on him after a robbery. He falls in love with his neighbour Irene (Carey Mulligan), mother of a small child and the wife of a man who has been recently released from prison.

When the Driver is forced to make his escape from the gangsters, he feels responsible for Irene and her son and decides to protect them. He negotiates their freedom at the cost of his own freedom.
