The Chipmunks (Alvin, Simon, Theodore) and the Chipettes (Jeanette, Eleanor and Brittany) are going on a luxury cruise with their manager, Dave Seville. They turn the ship deck into their personal playground and they start having so much fun, that Dave doesn't know how to stop them and prevent ruining other people's vacation.

They sing, they dance but when they venture on a desert island, they get stuck there. As they try to get out of the island, they befriend a stowaway who will try to help them get back home safely.

While the Chipmunks try to find a way out of the island, they realize that the island is not as uninhabited as they first thought.
