A Dangerous Method is a historical film directed by David Cronenberg, adapted from Christopher Hampton's stage play The Talking Cure and based on the book by John Kerr, A Most Dangerous Method.

The action is set during World War I and follows the intense relationship between novice psychiatrist Carl Jung (Michael Fassbender), Sigmund Freud (Viggo Mortensen) and a disturbed but beautiful woman named Sabina Spielrein (Keira knightley).
