LIMEWAX

Limewax doesn't like to be thought of as a child prodigy, but he is, despite his protests, the young Einstein of the Anger / Tech Freak posse. At only 17, he is already producing tracks on par with the big guns, and holding his own in the sickness department! Born in 1988 (!) he was weaned on hardcore vodka and babushkaıs in Russia and the Ukraine until the tender age of 11, where he then moved to the smokerıs paradise that is Holland. A classically trained pianist, he began his decent into the griminess of drum and bass through listening to radio shows and breakbeat and ambient. Soon after his 11th birthday, he received some old equipment and began to mess about with atmospherics, and wrote a few symphonies (yes, symphonies - we're talking a young Mozart here!) and soon moved from old beaten up Roland's to getting his head around reason at age 15. From 15 to now has been all hard work, perspiration and ahelluva lot of inspiration! Limewax's tunes are reminiscent of the dark sci fi landscapes of Technical Itch, the driving dark funk force of Dylan, like a hybrid love child - he is easily one of the most exciting artists to emerge from Europe this year, and without a doubt will remain so for the years ahead! With the soon to be released E.P. on Tech Itch Recordings, as well as tracks such as, The Lawra, Eye's of Evil (a personal fave with the gabba-esque, no-holds-barred attack in the middle of the tune), as well as the ³Slave to Life² and ³Life of Sin² remixes, not to mention all the collaborations with partner in slime SPL (!!)...Limewax may be young in age, but will rock the dance floor like a long established pro!! Mark my words, it is only the beginning...so watch this space!!!

CURRENT VALUE
Berlin's Tim Eliot represents the top percentile of european drum & bass producers. With substantial training in classical piano, he began dabbling in electronic music in 1992. Several years later he began receiving recognition on local Berlin radio stations and a series of irrefutably classic 12"s ensued. Seminal works on Don Q and Position Chrome catapulted Current Value into a literal phase of underground superstardom. Through proper distribution and excellent exposure the Position Chrome releases like 'Creative Robot', 'Skybreaker', and 'Bass Riot' were very well received particularly in North America. The decidedly dark and often dissonant sound of the techstep revolution resonated with many disenfranchised junglists as well as electronica fans. With numerous singles and 4 LP's, Current Value left an indelible mark on the drum & bass but also the techno genre. With subsequent appearances on renouned labels like DonQ Records (ger), Ruff-Teck (nl), Klangkrieg (ger), Phantom Noise (ger), NoBreaks Rec (ger), Soothsayer Recordings, Current Value has continued to produce quality drum & bass for the dancefloor as well as the living room audience. In 2004 after 1 year of education he received his Diploma at the School of Audio Engineering SAE. In mid 2005 Soothsayer released the first of several Current Value 12"s;a split 12"with Kid Kryptic is out now. Sometime around summer 2006, Current Value will come even stronger with his new work for Soothsayer Recordings, Intransigent Recordings, the ultimate UK labels Obscene Recordings and Tech Itch, Counterstrikes label Algorythm and the amazing US based Evol Intent Recordings. Be prepared!
