Barcelona are not doing well in the champ league this year. Chelsea outplayed them I thought the other week and created more chances than Barca. Barca were lucky with a 2-2 draw

since i'm handling the romanian part we'll get started with an update from the championship and cups.
poli timi is 6th in the league and will play tomorrow against universitatea craiova which is an evened match, but not impossible to win.
i just came from the stadium where rapid won against unirea urziceni with 1-0. rapid had a poor game and didn't have clarity in front of the goal. in fact they scored due to a mistake made by former national team goalie stelea (you might have heard of him roger. also the coach of unirea is dan petrescu former chelsea player) on the oder side rapid's goalie managed to save a penalty keeping the score 1-0
dinamo, the leader with 11 point in front of theecond team is curently playing otelul galati (which was whipped by rapid with 7-0 las week) and has a 2 goal advantage.
steaua will play tomorrow agains fc national. i'm hoping they'll lose

rapid, steaua and poli timi continue to the quarter final stages in the cup. dinamo was knoked out.

now for uefa news
rapid had 2 drws with psg and happoel tel aviv. lets hope they'll defeat mlada boleslav as this is their only chance to qualify. the away game with panathinaikos seems almost impossible to win.
dinamo won against besiktas but they were shaky.
steaua has 3 points and only defeats with lyon and real madrid. if they get at lest a draw with dinamo kiev then they're off to the uefa cup.

I remember Dan Petrescu, he was a great player at Chelsea.

In English games today, Chelsea won 4-0 and sounded like an easy victory. But Man Utd also won again today and sit top of the table 3 points above Chelsea. It looks like the championship will be between these two teams this year.

Do you remember the Romanian national side in the Us world cup? I think it was the 94 world cup. I thought Romania were one of the best teams in it I cant remember who was in the team except Dan Petrescu as well as Hagi.

dan petrescu, hagi, gica popescu (barcelona's captain ) prunea (the goalie which practicaly got us out in the game against sweden ) prodan, belodedici, raducioiu, lupescu, sabau, moldovan (which still plays today for rapid and is an important player as he scored goals in all the right moments) and..well, i don't remember them all as i wasn't even 9 then . it was too bad we got kicked in the quarters. we would have played against brazil in the semi's. what a game that would have been.
a coupe of years ago they layed a charity game, romania 94 against brazil 94 and we kicked their asses

out got us our player who tried to score in the penalty kickouts by shooting the ball high.... and that against sweden who has only vikings on their team . as far as i remember, the decessive miss of the match was gica petrescu's.

Holland are not that great... they were lucky to score an equaliser. England were in control most of the game..until the last few mins

good to hear that holland aren't tough.
we defeated spain, but the game was at 11pm bucharest time so few people actually saw it. 1-0 and apparently we didn't play great. i don't care about playing great as long as we win, but i'm afraid that wont be easy to do.
one week from now rapid will be playing against mlada boleslav in the uefa cup. those guys knocked out marseille so we better watch out
