what did fair britain leave in those place...what did it give to the world...what does it have to offer?
just think of anyhing british ...

this is suposed to be fun so humour will be hopefully present. so let the proverbial british/mainland humour flow free

you said starters?...then i'll take you all the way to the start...of history that is. fist of all they gave incredible head aches to our ancestors the romans . and who knows..maybe the great fire of london was a reminescence of the good old days when an unsupervised picnic fire of the icene tribe burned down londinium . besides starting fires(oh yeah, we cannot leave out the bonfires on guy fawkes day) the english made a habbit out of going around the world and starting up countries like mad. so for everything that canada australia new zealand and ofcourse america gave us we should thank the british.
they also gave us an universal way to politely tell someone to mind their own bussiness: f... and use your imagination for the rest

We had the British Empire which i think could have been an effort to take over the world but failed, we colonised Australia with convicts.

We invented Football, that has to be one good thing!! Did we invert tea? As in the drink?? I prefer coffee though.

We also gave the world a lot of good music and bands. Good being very subjective of course, I was never a fan of the Beatles but the Rolling Stones were cool!

I thought fox hunting was only done in England... i had no idea other countrys did that too.

No idea whether it was or not... suppose it was done wherever there were foxes. I bet they did it in France too. The killing of animals elevated at the status of a sport, and a noble one to that, is something beyond my understanding, though.

you didn't invent tea...you just took it from asia...but you invented 5 o'clock tea, which surprisingly made it to romania too(not anymore, but in the 19th century all the gentry did it )
you didn't invent the game of football....well ok you did..because of the cambgridge rules but different versions of the game were played all over the world before that
speaking of bands...the british thing that i like the most is iron maiden ...judas priest are also good, black sabbath ofcourse....freddie mercury wasn't exactly english but you can count him too
brits gave us punk (not exactly gratefull for that )...by the way...i here billy idol will be coming to romania in july..
brits invented whiskey....haggis(we have something similar in romania) ......
yeah...if i come up with other stuff i'll let you know
p.s come on shur'tugal...you left out tolkien...he was british too

I'm not sure what 'good' stuff there is that's come out of the UK that is specific to the UK.

We have a lot of good music festivals (but they stay in the UK ) Would probably be easier to tell you the bad things about the UK. Like the traffic for one - everywhere you drive you are in traffic There are too many people squashed into the UK!!
